HellNirayasutta

“Mendicants, someone with four qualities is placed in hell as if delivered there.“Catūhi, bhikkhave, dhammehi samannāgato yathābhataṁ nikkhitto evaṁ niraye. What four?Katamehi catūhi? They kill living creatures, steal, commit sexual misconduct, and lie.Pāṇātipātī hoti, adinnādāyī hoti, kāmesumicchācārī hoti, musāvādī hoti— Someone with these four qualities is placed in hell as if delivered there.imehi kho, bhikkhave, catūhi dhammehi samannāgato yathābhataṁ nikkhitto evaṁ nirayeti.

Killing, stealing,Pāṇātipāto adinnādānaṁ, telling lies,Musāvādo ca vuccati; and visiting others’ wives:Paradāragamanañcāpi, astute people don’t praise these things.”Nappasaṁsanti paṇḍitā”ti.
