And what things should be completely understood?Katame ca, bhikkhave, pariññeyyā dhammā? Form,Rūpaṁ, bhikkhave, pariññeyyo dhammo. feeling,Vedanā …pe… perception,saññā … choices,saṅkhārā … and consciousness.viññāṇaṁ pariññeyyo dhammo. These are called the things that should be completely understood.Ime vuccanti, bhikkhave, pariññeyyā dhammā.

And what is complete understanding?Katamā ca, bhikkhave, pariññā? The ending of greed, hate, and delusion.Rāgakkhayo, dosakkhayo, mohakkhayo— This is called complete understanding.ayaṁ vuccati, bhikkhave, pariññā.

And who is the individual who has completely understood?Katamo ca, bhikkhave, pariññātāvī puggalo? It should be said: a perfected one,Arahātissa vacanīyaṁ. the venerable of such name and such clan.Yvāyaṁ āyasmā evaṁnāmo evaṅgotto— This is called the individual who has completely understood.”ayaṁ vuccati, bhikkhave, pariññātāvī puggalo”ti.
