The Novice SivakaSivakasāmaṇeragāthā

My mentor said to me:“Upajjhāyo maṁ avaca, “Let’s leave here, Sīvaka.”ito gacchāma sīvaka; My body lives in the village,Gāme me vasati kāyo, but my mind has gone to the wilderness.araññaṁ me gato mano; I go there even when lying down—Semānakopi gacchāmi, you can’t chain those who know.natthi saṅgo vijānatan”ti.
