I regularly sat close by true persons“Upāsitā sappurisā, and learnt the teaching.sutā dhammā abhiṇhaso; What I learned, I practiced,Sutvāna paṭipajjissaṁ, the direct route whose objective is freedom from death.añjasaṁ amatogadhaṁ.

I’ve slain the desire for continued existence,Bhavarāgahatassa me sato, it won’t be found in me again.Bhavarāgo puna me na vijjati; It was not, and it won’t be in me,Na cāhu na ca me bhavissati, and it isn’t found in me now.Na ca me etarahi vijjatī”ti.
