The price for my services“Yāva kāsijanapado, amounted to the nation of Kāsi.suṅko me tatthako ahu; By setting that price,Taṁ katvā negamo agghaṁ, the townsfolk made me priceless.aḍḍhenagghaṁ ṭhapesi maṁ.

Then, growing disillusioned with my form,Atha nibbindahaṁ rūpe, I became dispassionate.nibbindañca virajjahaṁ; Don’t journey on and on,Mā puna jātisaṁsāraṁ, transmigrating through rebirths!sandhāveyyaṁ punappunaṁ; I’ve realized the three knowledges,Tisso vijjā sacchikatā, and fulfilled the Buddha’s instructions.kataṁ buddhassa sāsanan”ti.
