The Noble PathAriyamaggasutta

“I will teach you the noble path and the ignoble path. …“Ariyamaggañca vo, bhikkhave, desessāmi anariyamaggañca. And what is the ignoble path?katamo ca, bhikkhave, anariyo maggo? Killing living creatures …Pāṇātipāto …pe… wrong view.micchādiṭṭhi— This is called the ignoble path.ayaṁ vuccati, bhikkhave, anariyo maggo.

And what is the noble path?Katamo ca, bhikkhave, ariyo maggo? Not killing living creatures …Pāṇātipātā veramaṇī …pe… right view.sammādiṭṭhi— This is called the noble path.”ayaṁ vuccati, bhikkhave, ariyo maggo”ti.
