Gotama (2nd)Gotamattheragāthā

I was also reborn as a human,Mānusopi ca bhavobhirādhito, and from time to time I went to heaven.Saggakāyamagamaṁ sakiṁ sakiṁ; I’ve stayed in realms of luminous form and formlessness,Rūpadhātusu arūpadhātusu, among the neither-percipient-nor-non-percipient, <j>and the non-percipient.Nevasaññisu asaññisuṭṭhitaṁ.

I know well these created states are insubstantial—Sambhavā suviditā asārakā, conditioned, unstable, always in motion.Saṅkhatā pacalitā saderitā; When I understood that this is created in myself,Taṁ viditvā mahamattasambhavaṁ, mindful, I found peace.Santimeva satimā samajjhagan”ti.
